Biography
Ryan Edgmon is proud to serve as Director of Bands and Instrumental Music Coordinator for Mustang Public Schools in Mustang, Oklahoma.

Mr. Edgmon completed his degree in Instrumental Music Education at the University of Oklahoma in 2004 and is in his eighth year as Director of Bands for Mustang Public Schools. Edgmon previously served as the Assistant Director of Bands at Sapulpa High School (2008-2010) and as Director of Bands for Mustang North Middle School (2005-2008). Ensembles under Edgmon’s direction consistently experience success both musically and competitively. Concert Ensembles consistently earn superior ratings at OSSAA contest including four consecutive OSSAA Sweepstakes awards. Mustang High School Jazz Ensemble 1 is a perennial medalist at the OSSAA State Jazz competition. The Mustang High School Marching Band is a consistent Top 6 Finalist at the Class 6A Oklahoma Bandmasters Association state marching contest. The marching band made their first appearance as a finalist at the Bands of America St. Louis Super Regional in 2015. Two ensembles under Edgmon’s direction have been featured at the Oklahoma Music Educators Association Convention: Jazz Ensemble 1 (2012) and the Mustang High School Wind Ensemble (2015). The Mustang Wind Ensemble performed as an invited ensemble at the 2016 Music for All National Festival. Mr. Edgmon is a member of the Oklahoma Music Educators Association, Jazz Educators Network, National Association for Music Education, Oklahoma Bandmasters Association and Phi Beta Mu International Band Fraternity. He is an active adjudicator and clinician, as well as a freelance visual designer for marching bands scattered across the Midwest. Mr. Edgmon has served as President, Vice-President and Treasurer for Winterguard and Percussion of Oklahoma and has also completed a four-year term as chairperson and coordinator for the Oklahoma All-State Bands.
