Chris Ozinga serves as the Director of Percussion for Mustang Public Schools.

He assists with teaching the Mustang High School bands and the Mustang North Middle School bands. Chris’s has been teaching in Mustang since 2014. Prior to teaching in Mustang, Chris served as assistant band director/director of percussion in Choctaw-Nicoma Park from 2011-2014, and as assistant band director at Edmond North High School from 2007-2011.

Chris completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental Music at Alma College in Alma, Michigan in 2005. He completed his Master’s Degree in Music Performance from Oklahoma City University in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 2009.

Ensembles Chris works with consistently achieve high levels of musical and competitive success. His groups have been featured at the Oklahoma Music Educators Association Convention in 2022 (Mustang North Middle School Wind Ensemble) and in 2017 (Mustang High School Percussion Ensemble).

Chris is a member of Oklahoma Music Educators Association, Oklahoma Bandmasters Association, National Association for Music Education, and Percussive Arts Society.
